Monday - PSHE and Music

PSHE - Monday

For PSHE this week, we would like you to follow the BBC link below, which will take you to a great home learning plan where you can learn about the importance of self belief and managing your emotions.

The lesson includes:

  • a video to get active

  • two video clips showing how children can manage their emotions

  • two practice activities (click on the grey download button to view them)

Music - Monday

This week enjoy some lullabies from African countries. Think about these questions as you listen to the songs...

What is your opinion of the song and why?

What instruments can you hear?

What pitch is the music? (high or low)

What is the tempo like? (the speed - fast, slow?)

Can you hear the pulse and tap to it? (constant beat of the music)

Can you clap to the beat? (main rhythmic pattern in a piece of music)

Can you hear a rhythm? (structured group of  beats- combination of long and short sounds)

Songs from the Baobab (African Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes)

Songs from the Baobab: African Lullabies & Nursery Rhymes is a storybook-music CD
