Mr Perry's Reading Challenge
Dear Holbrook Pupil,
Well done for deciding to have a go at this years Summer Reading Challenges with a Great Outdoors theme. Reading can be a fun activity and gets more enjoyable the more you practise. If you are a good reader, it really helps to make your learning in all subjects easier.
The Challenges:
· Complete the reading sheets provided to write reports about non-fiction and
fiction books that you have read.
· Complete the colouring activities to show where, how, why, what and how much you have read.
· Enter the Suffolk Libraries reading challenge organised by The Reading Agency. You will find all the information and free books to read here: www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
In September: Bring examples of your book reviews; reading engagement sheets and book reports to school in the first week back after the holidays and hand in to me or your class teacher. We will then have a special assembly to celebrate our Summer Reading Challenges. In the assembly, all entrants will be presented with a certificate. The three best entries will be awarded book tokens.
Good Luck and Happy Holiday Reading!
Mr Perry
