Welcome to the Summer Term and your Home Learning page.
We hope you’ve all been able to enjoy the sunshine over the Easter break. Happy birthday to Lexi and Jude! It's now time to say goodbye to last term's work on Island Warriors and to get stuck into our new topic,
The Ancient Greeks!
You will learn about a world filled with gods and goddesses, heroes and heroines. In this world, there are battles for control of the universe. You will read about awesome adventures in labyrinths and one-eyed monsters forging thunderbolts. The Greeks were curious and clever – many of their innovations still exist today and are part of the way we live our lives. They were fascinated by Science, Geography and Astronomy. Try to read for 15 minutes every day - sharing a range of texts and taking it in turns to read or be read to.
There are some great websites, where you can access books to read with your child.
Use Oxford Owl for their library of free e-books. You can select the age for differing levels of texts and there are non-fiction and fiction to choose from.
