This week we are going to enjoy the following 2 books from the Oxford reading books website. Please only read the selected chapters on each day, as they match with the writing plans set. If you read ahead, the writing plan won't work so well! If you have read the book before, it doesn't matter too much, it might just be slightly harder to think of an alternative ending.

Monday - East of the Sun, West of the Moon - Chapters: 1 and 2

Tuesday - East of the Sun, West of the Moon - Chapters: 3, 4 and 5

Wednesday - Our Siberian Journey - Pages 1-15

Thursday - Our Siberian Journey - Pages 16-end

Friday - East of the Sun, West of the Moon - Chapters: 6, 7 and 8

You can find these books on the oxford reading tree website - ages 6-7. The pages can also be viewed on the daily reading page.

Writing

This week we are going to be thinking about fictional writing and how stories end. We will be reading and enjoying the book above - East of the Sun, West of the Moon and you will come up with the ending for the story.

Please make sure you follow the reading plans carefully, only reading the selected chapters and pages for each day.

Maths

This week we are going to be problem solving again! Each day there will be a different mathematical investigation to explore.

Start each session with a page from the following problem solving powerpoint. There is a page per day and the questions cover a range of maths concepts and ideas. A great way to get the brain working!

If you finish all of the daily problem solving questions and would like another challenge, pick another problem to solve from the following...
