Summer Science Overview:

Our science work links closely with our work on the environment as we explore life cycles, food chains and habitats. We will explore what bugs need to live a healthy life and how we can help look after them, including creating our own bug hotels based on our knowledge. We will continue to look after our vegetable patch in school, noting the changes that occur as the vegetables grow. 

Autumn Science Overview:

We will start our learning by looking at a range of materials. We will investigate which materials are waterproof through creating our own structures during our forests school sessions. We will also compare materials based on their properties, using scientific vocabulary such as opaque to describe different properties. Leading on from this we will decide suitability of materials based on creating a criteria.
