At Holbrook Primary School, we comply with The Public Sector Equality Duty updating this every year through our scheduled equalities review which is overseen by our equalities governor. Despite legislation stating objectives should be reviewed every four years, at Holbrook Primary School we review these annually. We are committed to ensuring the equality of education and opportunity for all pupils irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith, religion or socio-economic background.

The school is committed to consulting and involving those who may be affected by inequality when making decisions that impact school life. We seek the views of pupils, parents, staff, governors, and, where appropriate, external agencies, particularly those representing individuals with protected characteristics. Through surveys, meetings, pupil voice activities, and ongoing engagement, we ensure that diverse perspectives are considered. This helps us identify and address potential barriers, promote equality of opportunity, and eliminate discrimination, fostering an inclusive environment where all members of the school community feel valued and able to participate fully.
