Science
Through our chosen texts, we will be linking our Science to growing, identifying common and wild plants together with learning the basic structures of plants and trees. We will be conducting experiments to see what seeds need to grow, hopefully growing our own cress, indoor peas and winter pansies.
In Science, we will be exploring the properties of different materials and trying to answer the questions; which material could Wendy use to make a boat to escape Neverland, what material would be best to make a telescope and how could the pirates keep their food dry? We will also be learning about the Victorian scientist Charles Darwin and exploring animals and humans; what they eat, how they are classified and describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals.
